Description:
NCAS is looking for a dynamic and motivated person committed to rights, equity and justice with specific experience in working with the marginalised sections for the post of Executive Director, to be based in its HQ in Pune.
Qualification:
- The applicant should be a committed and experienced social activist/development professional/scholar with a clear people-centred perspective on issues like just governance, social exclusion and livelihood rights.
- The applicant should have; the ability to lead a committed multi- disciplinary team, proven networking skills, ability to influence policy makers and an ability to work in collaboration with partner organisations.
- The candidate must have a postgraduate degree in Social Sciences/Human Rights/Law or other related field, with significant and credible experience of advocacy, capacity building, campaign initiatives, networking, research and working with the media.
- Preferred age will be below 60 years with good track record of fund raising.
All things being equal positive gender discrimination will be exercised as a matter of policy in the final selection.
Job Profile and Responsibilities:
The Executive Director will be the Chief Functionary of NCAS. She/he will have autonomy in functioning and the responsibility of leading the organisation, build its public profile, develop programme framework, raise resources, and ensure institutional sustainability with a futuristic perspective of taking the organisation into the next decade. She/he would play a crucial role in translating the vision of the organisation into programmes and activities by instilling confidence in donors as well as communities NCAS works with. Compensation would be comparable to the Associate Professor’s scale of the UGC along with the usual PF, Gratuity, Health Insurance etc.
