The International Red Cross and Red Crescent (ICRC) is an independent, neutral organization ensuring humanitarian protection and assistance for victims of war and other situations of violence. It has a permanent mandate under international law to take impartial action for prisoners, the wounded and sick, and civilians affected by situation of violence. With its HQ in Geneva, Switzerland, the ICRC is based in around 80 countries and has a total of more than 12,000 collaborators. The ICRC is at the origin of both the International Red Cross / Red Crescent Movement and of international humanitarian law, notably the Geneva Conventions.
- Strategic management of the WatHab unit
- Operational management of WatHab program
- Logistic, financial, and administrative management of WatHab program
- Human resources management
- Coordination and representation
- Institutional and internal reporting
- Bachelor or university degree in Civil or Environment Engineering, or Hydrogeology
- 8 years work experience in a similar function and minimum 2 years ICRC experience
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Hindi
- Team leadership skills
- Strong abilities to coordinate with other ICRC departments to develop the WatHab program in an integrated way
- Very good analytical skills
- Deep knowledge of the geographical assigned area.
- Good computer literacy (MS Office, LN, CAD…)
