A research study is being conducted under the aegis of Focus on the Global South - India on Non-CO2 Greenhouse Gases in India. The study aims to better understand their place in India’s GHG emissions profile and to look at different mitigation options available with respect to Non-CO2 GHGs, develop a framework within which to examine the feasibility or otherwise of these options, and examine possible policy initiatives for their abatement in the context of India’s overall mitigation strategy.
Job profile:
The research associate would be expected to compile sector-wise Non-CO2 emissions inventories from different sources, work with outside experts to cross-check, validate and update this information, and assist the Principal Investigators in analyzing different mitigation scenarios especially through computational models and other tools in keeping with technological and economic trends.

10-month duration
Qualification:
Full-time Post Graduate Research Associate with Technical background in natural sciences/environmental sciences/engineering, preferably with some experience in climate change related work, and with ability to conduct quantitative analysis.
