The Nestlé Prize in Creating Shared Value is awarded in alternate years to an individual, a non-government organisation (NGO) or a small business to reward an outstanding innovation or project in the area of:
- Improving access to and management of water
- Delivering high nutritional value to populations suffering from nutritional deficits
- Improving the lives of farmers and rural communities
Specific fields of achievement include, but are not limited to: agriculture, including extension services and use of new technologies; food science and technology; nutrition education programmes; water management; protection of water resources, etc.
The 2012 Nestlé CSV Prize nomination period is running from 11th February to 30th June 2011.
The Nestlé Prize in Creating Shared Value is International in scope. Entities may reside in any country in the world.
The Entry may, however, only cover projects implemented in developing countries (i.e. all countries and territories, except European Union members, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Iceland, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan and the United States).
Eligibility Criteria:
- Entries that seek to use the Nestlé Prize monies to provide financial support to an organization or individual will not be considered eligible.
- Entries covering projects that are already financed or supported by Nestlé S.A., affiliates, subsidiaries, joint ventures are not eligible.
- Entries covering projects that have been awarded the Nestlé Prize in former nomination periods are not eligible for the Nestlé Prize again.
The call for entries for the second edition of the Nestlé Prize in Creating Shared Value is now open. Submit your entry from 11 February until 30 June 2011.
