Job Description: Rural Innovation and Farming – Fellowship Manager
Ashoka has pioneered the field of social entrepreneurship. Rural communities that rely on agriculture for their food and income are facing increasingly complex challenges. Social entrepreneurs pioneer solutions to overcome systematic obstacles faced by small farmers. Now, Ashoka is putting an extra effort to elect more fellows in this space, support them to spread their ideas and to share their insights with the larger aim of advancing the field of rural innovation as a whole. Ashoka is looking for an entrepreneurial person to support the Ashoka fellows on the development and expansion of their ideas.
Responsibilites:
- Identify fellows’ needs, support them professionally and organizationally;
- Facilitate collaborations among fellows;
- Identify and build strategic partnerships with external agencies to work with Ashoka fellows and support their expansion;
- Develop the channels that ensures effective collaboration among the partners and external agencies;
- Work together with the Africa and Global teams to exchange ideas and spread the knowledge.
Ashoka is looking for a Fellowship Manager who has a proven commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship with demonstrated leadership in the social or business sectors. The Fellowship Manager should also have 5 years of experience, strong client management and communication skills.
Renumeration: Salary range is between 7-9 lacs/ year + 10% performance

Collaborating across regions and fields, Ashoka fellows achieve results more powerful than what they could accomplish on their own. Ashoka is looking for an entrepreneurial leader who can conceptualize and implement an initiative on rural innovation. The person is expected to provide the necessary vision and roadmap to the program in order to create and sustain a great community of Ashoka fellows and other partners working in this space. He/she should develop and maintain the necessary platforms and solutions/opportunities that create a higher value than what these fellows had created in past in their individual capacities. Ashoka wants people who have a proven commitment to innovation and have a track record as entrepreneurial innovators with demonstrated leadership in the social or business sectors – people who have founded and grown a significant start-up in the business or social business sectors, anywhere around the world. We also want people who have strong client management and communication skills.
Responsibilites:

- Manage program operations and team in India;
- Work together with the Africa and Global teams to exchange ideas and spread the knowledge.
Renumeration: Salary range is between 10-12.5 lacs/ year + 10% performance
