Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India) is a non-denominational, non-government organization.
AKRSP (I) was established in Gujarat in 1984 and it seeks to contribute to rural poverty reduction through community involvement and empowerment that leads to the efficient management and improved productivity of natural resources.
Qualification:
- PG/Graduation with Community Health Management from reputed institution with 6-7 years of experience in development sector
- A person should have worked at grass root level for minimum 3 years on water and sanitation issues.
Duties and Accountabilities
- Evolving strategies to address rural community water issues at village and regional level and ensure possitive impact on sustainable rural livelihoods
- Bring sustainable improvement in the people on sanitation issue through integrated approach which envisages convergence of all verticals of health programmes
- Demonstrate and provide leadership to field teams on participatory planning to address needs of people for village level community sanitation plan and its convergence with developmental needs of the area
- Experienced and capable of managing external and internal environment and lead the team from front on water & sanitation issues.
