Indian Council of Agricultural ResearchOrganizer:  Indian Council for Agricultural Research

Venue: Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA), Santoshnagar, Hyderabad

Description:

You are aware that the natural resources of drylands are stressed and require concerted efforts to arrest further degradation and to maintain productivity. A number of programmes such as IWMP and various technology missions are intended for this purpose. Of late, there is a recognition that the focus of agricultural development programmes should be not only on increasing productivity of crops, but also on enhancing the livelihoods of the rural community through appropriate interventions for inclusive growth. We are therefore organizing the above training programme to create awareness among the field functionaries about the scope and potential for enhancing livelihood opportunities through sustainable Natural Resource Management.

The total number of participants will be limited to around 25. You are therefore requested to kindly send nominations at the earliest in the prescribed format by 10th February, 2011.
