Who are the participants?

  1. Citizens interested in "Growing what they want and eating what they grow".
  2. Individuals and institutions interested in guiding others on terrace gardening.
  3. The municipal authorities interested in encouraging terrace gardening.
  4. Urban pollution control authorities interested in converting wastes into wealth (manure) for gardening.
  5. Input suppliers for terrace gardening.

The tentative topics for discussion on Terrase Gardening:

  1. Why and how organic terrace gardens?
  2. Water and Nutrient management.
  3. Pest and disease management.
  4. Sourcing inputs and equipment for terrace gardening.
  5. Terrace Gardening in Bangalore an overview.

Registration fee:

  • For individuals: Rs.500/-
  • For institutions: Rs. 2500/- (including one stall and two participants)

The second day is meant for field visits only on payment of Rs. 100/- transport charge.
