Description:

Many parts of the world have disasters. Dissemination of information and experience are mitigating the impacts of a disaster. The major objective of this film forum will be to promote the goals of Hyogo Framework for Action (HFA) through sharing and insemination of information on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) amongst various sections of the society. This will in turn also help in bringing a greater understanding of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and heighten the sensitivities towards Climate Change issues.

The proposed film forum on DRR would address all forms of disaster related issues concerning natural and selective man-made disasters. This film forum aims at providing a platform mainly to films and documentaries. The film forum will be organized at international level where similar films from other countries of the world will be invited.
