A conference on “Approaches to Shaping Climate Resilient Agriculture” will be hosted jointly by The Associated Chambers Of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) and the Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). It will be held on 28th February, 2020, at The Lalit Ashok, Kumarakrupa Road, Seshadripuram, Bengaluru from 9.00 am onwards.
This conference seeks to highlight the risks associated with climate change and the current landscape of climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies in agriculture in the country. It will bring together key policy makers of the Central & State Government of relevant divisions, leading researchers & scientists, key Farmers Producer Organisations (FPO), leading banks, academic institutes & Universities, industry/trade representatives, Corporates and Non-Governmental organisations.
The objective of the conference is to address the issues and arrive at the white papers/report on the Impact of Climate Change in Agriculture and Strategies to meet the challenges in the State. Based on the panel discussions, recommendations on each of the thematic areas could be brought out in the concluding session for the benefit of stakeholders and policy makers and white paper and report will be submitted to State and Central Government.
