The World Water Summit is slated to take place at Bangalore, India during February 1-3, 2012. The world's leading water innovators, investors, thinkers, catalysts, technocrats, policy makers, entrepreneurs, academicians and researchers will participate in a meaningful and interactive dialogue on the future of innovation in the water sector.

Networking, idea development and panel discussions will ensure that participants from multiple perspectives leave the conference with new ideas, investment opportunities and information. Space is limited and participation is by invitation.

The focal theme of the summit is ‘Urban Water Management'. The summit will discuss all the burning problems related to water being faced by people at a global level and generate solutions to resolve them. It will focus on the following issues -

  • Water resource and conservation
  • Water quality and health
  • Demand management
  • ICT for water
  • Effects of climate change on water

This summit has been exclusively designed to create an interactive three-day forum to bring focus, exchange thoughts and ideas, showcase trends and technologies to sustain and improve water resources and their efficient and effective management; thereby finding answers towards solving some of the pressing Indian and at large global issues related to water. 



Bangalore World Water Summit 2012 will consist of Multi-track Conference, International Trade Show, Knowledge Exchange Forum, Poster & Paper Session, Case Study Presentations, Water Awards, Water Tech Tour and Water Walkathon. 

The summit will witness large number of visitors from Indian States and international participation by countries like USA, Germany, France, UK, Canada, Australia, China, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore to name some.

Bangalore Water Awards will recognize the contribution of companies and individuals for their outstanding achievements in the field of water conservation and innovation. Exhibitor awards and poster awards will also be presented during the programme.

As a lead up to the event BWWS will organize public events from January 29, 2012 to create awareness and importance of water conservation and importance. All are welcome to attend. In a bid to create awareness about the importance of water conservation Water Walkathon is being held on 29 January 2012 and exhibition by students from across India on their impressions of future of water from 29 January 2012.
