The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), in association with the Ministry of Water Resources and the Department of Drinking Water Supply, Government of India, is launching India’s Annual International Water Convention, India Water Forum (IWF) 2011. The event will be held at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi from 13-15 April 2011.
Climate change, being a global phenomenon, calls for collective action and knowledge sharing across countries and the theme of IWF 2011 has been chosen considering its great significance in today’s world. IWF seeks to explore futuristic solutions for ensuring water security in different water stressed regions, while ensuring equitable access and inclusive governance. The Forum will focus on water and climate related challenges and also evaluate various multi-pronged adaptation and mitigation strategies to improve society’s resilience capacity. Special sessions on glacier research, integrated water resource management, water-food linkages, water and health, technological innovations, water rights/laws, climate financing, incentive based governance approaches, traditional knowledge and others under the climate change realm, are planned during the event.
It is our pleasure to invite you to IWF 2011. The conference will provide a space for discussion, interaction, dissemination of information to policy-makers, water managers, academics & researchers, NGOs, Corporates, students and water professionals.
Registration Fees for Professional delegates:
- Early bird registration on or before 15th February, 2011: Rs.2500
- Late registration till 30th March, 2011: Rs.3000
Registration Fees for students delegates:
- Early bird registration on or before 15th February, 2011: Rs.1000
- Late registration till 30th March, 2011: Rs.1500
