Posted on 28 Aug, 2020 05:52 PMRivers are revered and considered holy since times immemorial in India and mass bathing in some rivers is an age-old ritual. Posted on 09 Jul, 2015 07:37 AMDeclining groundwater levels and increasing stress on water resources in rural areas in India is a major concern for development since the livelihoods of a majority of the rural population depends on agriculture and the availability of sustainable water resources. More productive use of rainwater is necessary to help mitigate the impact of water scarcity.
