Study of 162 NGP villages awarded the Nirmal Gram Puraskar (NGP) award in 2004-05 and 2005-06. Study covered several aspects : Type of toilets, quality of construction, piped water supply, reasons for toilet construction, Level of coverage of the village with constructed toilets, level of usage of toilets, reasons for non-usage, anganwadi and school toilets, prevalence and level of solid and liquid waste management, source of finance for toilet construction, disposal of child faeces, monitoring of ODF status, hygiene behaviour and practices, maintenance, accessing of water from storage vessel, social mobilization processes, gender and social inclusion.
