River linking - A millennium folly?

This book published by the National Alliance of People's Movements & Initiatives,  is a  collection of articles by experts who dissect and analyze the proposed project from various angles. The contributors are Ramaswamy Iyer, S G Vombatkere, Kalyan Rudra, Himanshu Thakkar, Sudhirendar Sharma, Biksham Gujja and Hajara Shaik, Gopal Siwakoti 'Chintan', Jamal Anwar and Medha Patkar.

Amongst other issues, the book brings into the focus the question of the rights of the riparian countries. Authors assert that riparian rights are not being taken cognizance of and that a unilateral decision by India without a fully consulted prior consent of the concerned countries can injure the already fragile political atmosphere in South Asia. In line with that the book has contributions that cover Nepali and Indo-Bangladesh perspectives.
