Dear Users of IWP,
As the water pollution is increasing day by day by our activities the concern of public is also ben increased regarding use of water purification techniques.I am receiving so many phone calls from different parts of the country regarding selection of water filters. The main worry of the peoples are regarding Total Dissolved Solids. As per Indian Standards TDS upto a level of 500 PPM is desirable and after that upto 2000 PPM is permissible. If the TDS of water is upto desirable limits then there is no need for Reverse Osmosis Filters and only Ultra Violet filters are sufficient.
But as per my opinion only TDS should not be considered for installing any water filter as a water may have low TDS but it may be polluted by high Fluoride/Nitrates etc. Therefore a complete analysis of water should be got done before finalising any water filters.
with best wishes to all.
