The best practices at a household level cover details ranging from roofing practices, plumbing practices, water efficiency and fixtures, rainwater harvesting, recharge wells and sumps, groundwater use, water quality and treatment, grey water reuse and waste water treatment, solid waste management, landscaping and behavioural changes.

The best practices at a layout/complex level cover details ranging from inventory of water sources, infrastructure maintenance and documentation, data metrics and pricing of water, communication and engagement with the community, rainwater harvesting at a community level, landscape and catchment management, borewell maintenance and management, waste water treatment and building capacity of human resources.
